Hostel accommodation is available only to candidates belonging to the Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) category.
Hostel Facility
Jawaharlal Nehru College is largely a residential college, with separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Hostel accommodation is allotted only after formal admission to the college and is subject to seat availability and merit.

Hostel seats are allotted according to the following principles.
Merit-Based Allotment
Eligible APST students are considered strictly on merit after they have been formally admitted to the college.
No Automatic Claim
Admission to the college does not create an automatic right or claim to a hostel seat.
Semester-wise Seat Allocation
Available hostel seats for boys and girls are earmarked by semester.
