Dr. Gindu Borang, born on 07 January 1973, holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in History from Rajiv Gandhi University, formerly Arunachal University, Doimukh. He is committed to fostering an environment where teaching and learning thrive at the highest levels.
Dr. Borang began his professional career in 1997 as a faculty member in the Department of History at Donyi Polo Government College, Kamki. He subsequently served at Wangcha Rajkumar Government College, Deomali, Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat, and Government College, Yachuli, earning respect for his pedagogical expertise, research acumen and dedication to student mentorship.
In 2013, he was assigned to lead the newly established T.T. Government College, Nyapin as Principal. In 2018, he was posted as Principal of Government College, Yachuli, where he strengthened the college's academic foundation and contributed significantly to securing permanent affiliation with Rajiv Gandhi University and UGC recognition under Sections 2(f) and 12(B).
Dr. Borang was transferred to Donyi Polo Government College, Kamki in 2021. During his tenure as Principal, he played a pivotal role in strengthening institutional quality and successfully guided the college through its NAAC re-accreditation, achieving Grade B. His strategic planning, data-driven assessment and focus on continuous improvement set new benchmarks for institutional governance.
On 02 February 2026, Dr. Gindu Borang joined Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat as its 21st Principal. With vast experience in teaching, academic administration and cultural scholarship, he brings a deep commitment to educational excellence and holistic student development. Known for his approachable demeanour and principled leadership, he believes in the transformative power of education.
Outside academia, Dr. Borang is known on social media as Tinling Gindu Borang, or TGB. He is also a songwriter and producer of films and music videos, and runs the YouTube channel TGB Immang Ledu.
